Just an update on my mom and her condition.
She's walking better every day, making good progress.
It's going to be slow for a long while yet, as she was informed by at least a dozen doctors and nurses while she was in the hospital.
Thank you to everyone that has sent along their best wishes. They are greatly appreciated by all of us on this end of things.

Chris, I missed your first interlude mate. Sorry about your mum. I hope she's gets better soon, mate.
My old man was ill before Christmas, a different scenario, but family comes before everything. Everyone will wait and be ready when you get back.
Best wishes all round from over here!
Thank you for letting us know. You and your mom are in my thoughts.
Christopher best wishes to you and your mum. From the heart my friend.
great news chris - good karma to her all all
That's great news, Chris. All the best to you and your family.
Continued recovery. A couple years ago my mother managed to break both her ankles. I both understand and commiserate. We'll still be here after all is better.
Glad to hear she's healing. When my mother broke her wrist in 47 places, one of the things her doctor encouraged was drinking a bottle of dark beer every day. Apparently the silicates are helpful. And dark beer especially. And we also learned (bizarre factoid) that cats purr at a frequency that heals bone so if there's a spare cat lying around her house, she might want to throw it on her back an hour a day so it can do its thing. Good luck to all of you.
Thinking about you both, having gone through this twice in the last two years.
Thanks for updating us, Christopher. She will remain in our prayers for continued recovery.
Terrific to hear she's making progress. Continued best wishes.
Kelly
Continued best wishes for her recovery.
Looking forward to having you back.
Cheers, Kelly
