Interlude

Haven't done one these (where I'm actually pointing out new stories) in a while so let's see if I can still do it.

Glenn Gray is all about SHADOWS AND ARCS at Thrillers, Killers 'N' Chillers today.

This story has been described by readers as "gut-wrenching", "poetic", "unique" and "tragically beautiful".

It is all this and more. Go check it out.

Meanwhile, as usual, I'm behind the curve and haven't been paying attention, apparently, as there are three items from Powder Burn Flash and Darkest Before The Dawn.

First, the story at PBF.

Tom Leins, who is always killer, takes us to the JUNKYARD with his latest tale involving Queenan.

If you like your crime raw, Tom Leins is always a good bet and this one doesn't disappoint.

Next is the scheduling at Powder Burn Flash and Darkest Before The Dawn.

Apparently, everyone and their brother and sister has been writing Aldo and he's backlogged, necessitating a change of publishing.

At PBF, this means that there will now be three stories a week (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday). Also, Aldo would like to do a monthly recap or a Best Of Powder Burn Flash in PDF format come the new year.

I personally love this idea (as well as the Best Of) because it gives writers the ability to see their stories "out there" sooner. And there's nothing bad about seeing more crime stories.

If you haven't already done so, let Aldo know what you think by dropping him a line at powderburnflash@sbcglobal.net

The backlog at Darkest Before The Dawn will allow Aldo to publish two stories per week, starting this month, on Sundays and Wednesdays. And, as with PBF, Aldo is thinking about doing a quarterly Best Of...in PDF format.

To let him know what you think about this, drop him a line at darkestbefore@sbcglobal.net.

Again, I think both these ideas are great and look forward to reading more crime.

Are you entered in Michael J. Solender's Thanksgiving Flash Fiction Contest yet?

You've got nine days and counting until the deadline.

And remember it's for a good cause, whichever one you wish Michael to give to, with the winner of the contest having Michael give $100 for the charity of their choice.

Just keep it under 1000 words and you should be fine.
