We're just past halfway there to the conclusion of the flash fiction contest at Eric Beetner's blog.
Remember, the deadline is October 1, with the winner being announced and published here on ATON on October 15 and the prizes have now gone up by one. Instead of four books to the winner, it's now five, with the addition of Deborah J. Ledford's Staccato being added to the mix.
I haven't sent my entry yet (still trying to pare down to get under the 1000 word limit) but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't. If you have already, you're one up on me but hopefully not for much longer.

I'm in the trimming down stage. The word limit is tough, but I'm working hard to get it down.
Competition is fierce people! Just got two more today that are contenders. Now if I can just be sure to have an actual book in hand by the time this is over...(delays, delays)
